Wreck Specialty Instrucor training at Tulamben
After your PADI instructor development course or IDC, you can develop yourself more to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer or MSDT. One of the most challenging specialties is the Wreck Specialty Instructor Training course. During this course you, as an instructor, learn how to conduct this course and what the performance requirements are. First of all PADI Course Director Sander Buis was invited by Blue Corner Dive Lembomgan to teach this specialty. And the owners of this brilliant IDC center decided to conduct this course at the Liberty, a wreck in the front of Tulamben, Bali. One of the most famous wrecks in the world. [caption id="attachment_2102" align="alignnone" width="281"] Wreck specialty instructor training Tulamben Bali[/caption][ The first day Sander taught the candidates how to conduct lines, knots, communication, out of air scenarios, and get lost of the line scenarios on land. This is coz there is a possibility that the candidates teach how to penetrate a wreck, even this is an optional part of the course. Sander likes to teach the candidates this coz it will brings a lot of fun an over winning their fear when they are blindfolded and missing the line in a wreck. They learn how to react, and what to do. At the dive center we make a special underwater wreck, but this time on land. The candidates had to think about the ropes, the thickness of their own ropes, maybe how their own ropes feels like etc. When everyone was cable to made straight lines in our fantastic wreck, Sander decided to made it more challenging. With a totally blindfolded mask and stepped away from their main line, the candidates have to find their way back with their safety reel, and also find the way out of the wreck. Wrecks can be very silt and if someone tough the bottom it can that's hours when all the silt will be down, the visibility will maybe almost zero, or their is a light failure and you have to get out of the wreck. The candidates have to trust their lines, have to know if it is theirs and follow the lines slowly till they found the exit. It gave us all some funny moments! The next day it was diving day, 2 brilliant dives on the Liberty. We have seen tons of fish. The candidates have done all the skills they had to do, and they all did a brilliant job. Sander Likes to thank dive center Blue Corner Dive to have this opportunity! Thank guys you rock!
