Reef Clean up with Oceans 5 dive resort

Yesterday Oceans 5 dive resort organised a reef clean up in the front of their shop. Oceans 5 dive resort is located in the Harbor of Gili Air. Its a protected area for big waves, but in the raining season a lot of garbage comes from the open sea in the harbor and sinks. You can think of a lot of flip flops, shoes, plastic, cans, waterbottles, etc. The reef is famous for the strange creatures. You will find there all kind of pip fish, like the ornate gost pipefish, frog fish, mandarinfish, snake eels, etc. To save the reef Oceans 5 organise in the rainy season once a week a reef clean up. Why the name Oceans 5?

A lot of people asking: “Why the name Oceans 5 ?”. The next question is most of the times: “Is it because the movie Oceans 11?”. Well Oceans 5 dive resort wants to make something clear. The name Oceans 5 is not choosen because we like the movies Oceans 11, 12 or 13. Also we didnt choose the name because we are big fans of Brad Pitt or George Clooney. You cant find in the dive resort big posters of them.
