Ear problems are the kind of problems you better can't get during the PADI IDC . This time it was one of the IDC candidates that had some ear problems but PADI Course Director Sander Buis. IDC Lombok Gili Islands Day 5 Today it was an exam day. The IDC candidates had to make their dive theory and their General Standards exam. The dive theory exam has 5 topics, Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills and Environment and RDP. Each topic has 20 questions, and the candidates have to have a minimum of 75% right of each topic to pass. The General Standards exam has 40 questions, and the same passing rate, 75% right. IDC Gili Islands Day 4 The day of the presentations. The IDC candidates had the assignments to do a classroom presentation about the PADI Rescue Course and they had to prepare not 1 but 2 confined open water presentations for the afternoon. IDC dive resort Oceans 5 dive Gili Air likes to teach people to become real instructors. So the candidates have to reduce their preparation time like in real life. When they are a real PADI Dive instructor they can't say to the student, please wait for a hour because I have to prepare some skills first. It was a very good day for Margot and Lewis; all passing scores. Today no homework. Tomorrow the IDC candidates have first all the Exams, Dive Theory and General Standards, then time to prepare their Open Water Presentations, and then their first time in the ocean. It will be fun! Oceans 5 descided to do another Beach and Reef Clean Up, so that the beautiful dive site in the front of the dive shop will not totally covered with plastic rubbish. At 16.30 all the people came for the reef clean up Gili Islands at Oceans 5 dive resort . Instructor John looked after them and gave them a briefing about safety, what kind of rubbish to collect, the buddy team, and the depth and dive time. After 1 hour the eco divers came out of the water, not with the same amount as last time but still 4 bags full.
