Yesterday was an important day for 8 people here on Gili Air. It was the last day of their Padi Instructor Examination (IE).
The day started bad, there was rain and wind all over Gili Air. It didnt look that good. It is easier for the candidates when they have to do their Open Water session and Rescue in flat water instead what the condotion were now rain and waves. but it didnt matter, all candidates passed it and made themselves ready for their final standards exam and last step to become a Padi Instructor.
The standand exame started at 14.00 and after an hour the first candidates came out of the class room with a huge smile! All passes! All new instructors! Now it was waiting for Oceans 5 local candidate, Jmal, who has a time extention for his exame. The waiting time was nerve breaking but when he came out of the class room their was a big relief! He made it too…..
Then their was the closing presentation of Padi Examinor Bridgit, followed with champagne for everyone!
Oceans 5 dive resort wants to congrat all the 8 candidates to become a Padi instructor. Philippa and Mike (Trawangan dive), Rafael, Max, Brandon, Sybren, David and Jmal (Oceans 5 dive resort) we see you underwater! Great Job!
